WORKSHOPS & COACHING

In the classroom and virtually, my Writers Boot Camp workshop has been a hit with writers wanting to finally get a plan together to write their novel. So, what is the Writers Boot Camp?

Are you interested in writing a novel? Do you have an idea for a story? Have you been visualizing the story and can literally see and hear your characters? Are you unsure where to go now that you have this idea?

Because of this seemingly Herculean task, would-be writers put their literary dreams on the back burner, promising to return to them once they have time.

Well, guess what? Things will always arise that will keep you from pursuing your dreams.

Because of this, the time is NOW, and the literary dream you hold onto can be envisioned within four weeks with WRITERS BOOT CAMP.

What is Writers Boot Camp?

It’s a four-week program in which you’ll work one-on-one with author, editor, educator, everywoman Shon Bacon to develop your story idea into an outline and get you geared up to finally sit and WRITE.

COACHING SERVICES

Writing is often a solitary act. We sit before a screen or the page and pour our story out and hope it's good. Sometimes, unfortunately, we don't even get that far. We know we love to write, that we have stories to tell, but we have trouble actually getting those stories out of our head and onto the page or screen.

That's where my coaching services come in. I work one-on-one with writers--getting to know them, their reasons for writing, for wanting to develop the story that won't come out the way the writers want it to. I listen to who the writer is, what s/he wants to do with her/his literary project, what goals s/he has in regards to finishing a project, and then together we develop a course of action that will not only help the writer get her/his project completed, but will also provide the writer with lessons that s/he can apply to her/his next project...and beyond.

If you are in need of assistance with getting your story onto the page, come [talk] with me about it and let's see what literary magic we can conjure up together.
